Members of the European project ‘Re-adjusting To Life’ held the first face-to-face coordination meeting on 19 and 20 October at the rectorate building of the University of Istanbul (Turkey), the coordinating entity of the project.
The aim was to review the tasks within the project, as well as the dissemination strategy and discussions on the different activities within its intellectual product.
The meeting was attended by sociologist Kübra Yücel Yönlu from the Directorate for the Disabled of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, who presented the functioning of this entity and the services offered for this group in the city.
Professor Ayse Resa Aydin, director of the Centre for Disability Research and Practice at Istanbul University, also spoke.
Re-adjusting To Life’, co-financed by Erasmus+ of the European Union, will create an accessible online resource guide aimed at people with acquired disabilities and their families, after the first moment of acquiring the disability.
The project involves organisations from Turkey, Greece, the UK and Spain.
