The European Projects team of the Provincial Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of Seville, COCEMFE Seville, participates in the first Workshop called ‘Barriers faced by women in vulnerable situations in accessing the labour market and strategies to overcome them’, an event framed within the European project ‘Orient2Work’.
The workshop, which took place virtually on 7 February, was attended by 17 people from each of the project partners, including experts, managers and staff related to the programme.
This project, co-financed by the Erasmus + programme and led by the Italian training entity PMI, also involving entities from other countries such as Turkey (Pozitif Diyalog) and France (Academie De Creteil), aims to improve the guidance skills of professionals working with women in vulnerable situations, in order to improve their socio-occupational situation.
It is important to highlight that this training project is part of the strategic line that our organisation has been developing in recent years; to optimise the performance of our professionals in their advisory work with users.
As an entity, we have attended this first workshop of the five that will be held during the course of the project. Each workshop will have a periodicity of 3 months and have a specific theme, such as the barriers faced by women in vulnerable situations in accessing the labour market, vocational training and capacity building, appropriate approaches to care for vulnerable women, among others.
It is necessary to emphasise that each partner entity of the project will be in charge of working specifically on a specific area of vulnerability in women. In our case, we are in charge of working with women with disabilities.
This project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme.
