On 26 and 27 June 2025, the Provincial Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of Seville, COCEMFE Sevilla, had the privilege of taking part in the final meeting of the ORIENT2WORK project, held in the city of Antalya, Turkey. This event marked the culmination of a process that began in October 2023, with the aim of facilitating access for women in vulnerable situations to the labour market through an inclusive, adaptable guidance model validated in various European contexts.
During these two intensive days, organised by the host organisation Positive Dialogue Association, partners from Italy, Spain, France and Turkey carried out a final evaluation of the project, analysing both the results of the pilot tests and the overall progress of the initiative. The overall outcome was highly positive: the objectives were achieved — and even surpassed — with a tangible and visible impact on the day-to-day work of the participating organisations.
One of the main achievements of the meeting was the definition of operational guidelines for the dissemination phase, which each organisation will implement in their respective countries using tools such as the EPALE platform and professional networks like LinkedIn. Furthermore, progress was made in the final review of the guidance model manual, which will be officially presented at a final validation workshop scheduled for 24 September.
Beyond the technical work, the event was characterised by a spirit of collaboration and cohesion that has marked the entire project from the outset. In a warm atmosphere — due both to the weather and the local hospitality — participants also enjoyed a short cultural visit to the city of Antalya and shared moments of togetherness that strengthen future ties between organisations.
At COCEMFE Sevilla, we would like to highlight the value of this type of European initiative which, within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, promotes social inclusion, adult education, and the empowerment of women facing multiple barriers to employment. We will continue working to ensure this model translates into real opportunities for those who need them most.
