COCEMFE Sevilla Launches a Digital Skills and Entrepreneurship Training Programme for People with Disabilities in Rural Areas, Within the Framework of the European DIGIBOOST Project

From the European Projects Department at COCEMFE Sevilla, we are pleased to announce that this week we held the second transnational coordination meeting of the DIGIBOOST project, which took place in Kaunas (Lithuania) on 20 and 21 May 2025. During the meeting—and following months of collaborative work and research—the official training programme was formally presented. This programme is specifically designed to enhance digital competences and promote entrepreneurship in rural environments.

The programme has been developed by a multidisciplinary team of professionals from the fields of social sciences, business, and information and communication technologies (ICT), with the aim of providing tools and educational frameworks that foster new socio-occupational opportunities for people with disabilities living in rural areas.

In the coming weeks, the training materials will be made freely available via our website, once translated into Spanish. Furthermore, enrolment will open for an open-format online course, comprising approximately 45 hours of flexible instruction, adapted to the real needs of the participants. The course seeks to improve digital skills, empower participants to realise their entrepreneurial ambitions, and support their access to the labour market or the development of their own business initiatives.

Participants will also receive free professional support from expert business advisors. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement recognising the competences acquired.

The registration period will open shortly. Places will be limited, and the selection process will prioritise individuals with disabilities from rural areas, as well as those demonstrating strong motivation and commitment. Detailed information on the registration process will be published soon on our website.

The DIGIBOOST project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme and coordinated by Antalya Bilim University (Turkey), aims to foster digital inclusion, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the empowerment of people with disabilities in rural areas across Europe—particularly in Spain, Slovenia, Italy, Lithuania, and Turkey.
