The SEED European project provided training to professionals from different areas to learn about its work in the field of education in Istanbul

The Erasmus+ SEED project  continued from 23th to 27th May with an observation training for professionals of the partner organisations of the programme with the aim of discussing organisational aspects of it, and to learn about the work carried out in the field of education of young people with disabilities, this time in Istanbul (Turkey).

Specifically, staff from the entities such us Lycee Technologique Pierre de Coubertin de Meaux (France), Gelisim University of Istanbul (Turkey), Consorzio SGS of Lanciano (Italy) and COCEMFE Seville (Spain) have participated in several activities throughout the week. Among them, a visit to the MYO Campus of Gelisim University in Istanbul to know the work of the aeronautical engineering and gastronomy departments. Aferwards, they enjoyed a lunch offered by the students and the chef of the latter.  The group also visited the OZGEM institution, located in the metropolitan municipality of Başakşehir, where they were able to discover the services offered by Istanbul to the collective.

They also made other visits like the ŞİLE camp, where people with disabilities from Istanbul enjoy their holidays, and one of the centres of the regional government’s family and social services directorate that is dedicated to the residence and educational and occupational therapy of young people with cerebral palsy. They also took a short boat trip on the Bosphorus, known as the Strait of Istanbul.
