The European Project EU-RUDISNET, which is coordinated by COCEMFE Seville, has finalised in Lithuania the last aspects for the ending of the project

The Provincial Federation of Association of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of Seville (COCEMFE Seville) coordinates the European project EU-RUDISNET, co-financed by the European Union through Erasmus+, which aims to create a curriculum and a MOOC course in mentoring for the leadership of people with disabilities in rural areas.

On 7 and 8 February, a face-to-face meeting took place in Kaunas (Lithuania) to determine aspects for the finalisation of the project among all partners involved; OZARA d.o.o. (Slovenia), BETI (Lithuania), Consorzio SGS (Italy), LEB eV (Germany), Gelisim University of Istanbul and COCEMFE Sevilla.

THE WORK DONE

The current situation of the project was reviewed in order to design strategies to achieve the project’s objectives. Among them, the launching of the MOOC, the method of user evaluation, the tutored practices, the publications, the improvement of the accessibility of the platform, the date for the delivery of reports, etc. were specified.

In addition, the participants were able to learn about the work of the community association “Arko”, which is dedicated to improve the skills and competences of people with intellectual and mental disabilities for their autonomy through carpentry workshops, ceramic works, gardening, as well as other activities that reinforce their group cohesion and social integration. The methods used are based on favouring memorisation, improving communication of their needs and expression of emotions and concerns.
