The Provincial Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of Seville (COCEMFE Seville) has participated in the coordination, organisation and implementation session of the training workshops for women in vulnerable conditions framed in the European project ‘Orient2Work’.

In the workshops, the aim is to work on specific topics such as vocational training and skills development with approaches adapted to women with some kind of social vulnerability, tutorials and networking with the aim of providing tools for empowerment in training processes, psychological health and well-being at work, as well as the use of digital and technological tools.

These training topics will be discussed throughout the year and will be attended by experts from the different countries that are part of the ‘Orient2Work’ project, among which are Italy, Turkey, France and Spain.

During the second day, the COCEMFE Seville team, thanks to the management of the Italian strategic partner PMI, has been able to see first-hand the fashion design and tailoring workshops where students develop what they have learnt in the professional courses they attend.

At the same time, our entity was able to demonstrate other production processes that are carried out in the city of Vasto in Italy, such as the boutiques where the trained students do their professional practices and exhibit the collections of dresses that they have developed in their training processes.

As an example of this, last year this group of students, who were taking the course as part of their socio-occupational reintegration, participated in the creation of a collection that was later featured in a fashion show in Italy.

It is important to note that these actions are part of a strategic plan that PMI has been developing in recent years for the social inclusion of the most vulnerable groups in society.
