The Provincial Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of Seville, COCEMFE Sevilla, is co-leading, together with the Polish foundation SOWA, the development of a practical guide aimed at promoting the occupational wellbeing of professionals working with young people in vulnerable situations. The open-access handbook will serve as a key resource for the training activities scheduled for 2027.
On Thursday 22 and Friday 23 October, around ten representatives from five organisations based in Poland, Spain, Romania and the Netherlands gathered in Kraków for a transnational technical meeting of the POSITIVE project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme. During the sessions, organised by Fundacja SOWA, the participating organisations established the methodology for drafting the handbook and defined how it would be used in future training activities. The initiative aims to equip professionals working directly with young people with effective tools for self-care and the prevention of psychosocial risks in their professional duties.
The digital handbook, Right Now POSITIVE!, will be developed based on the project’s previous research and will address key areas such as stress management, work-life balance, professional burnout, anxiety and resilience. COCEMFE Sevilla will lead the development of the content on burnout prevention, while also collaborating with SOWA on the introductory sections, implementation guidelines and final technical editing.
Each thematic section will include between six and seven adaptable activity sheets designed for use in different organisational settings. The activities will follow a structured sequence, progressing from practical experience to conceptual analysis and the application of learning in everyday working environments. Participants’ privacy will be protected, as they will not be required to disclose personal experiences. The final version is expected to be published by the end of April 2027 and will be made publicly available as an interactive PDF through the project’s official website and the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform.
In terms of training activities, Kraków will host the transnational seminar Be Well, Be Positive! from 1 to 3 June 2027, bringing together fifteen professionals from the partner organisations. Following the seminar, the trained professionals will coordinate training sessions in each participating country, offering fifteen places per country and reaching a total of sixty specialists who will evaluate and incorporate these activities into their work supporting young people.
Through the development of this transnational initiative, the partner organisations, and particularly our Provincial Federation, reaffirm our commitment to the occupational health and wellbeing of professionals working in social intervention, strengthening a network of mutual support that contributes to providing higher-quality social care.
