The Provincial Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of Seville, through the department of European Projects, attends during these days in the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, the European Research Meeting on mentoring for volunteering of people with disabilities, event co-financed by the Erasmus+ TEAM IV program, where our provincial entity participates as a partner along with 5 other entities from countries such as Belgium, Romania, Bulgaria and Ireland.
At this meeting, the so-called State of the Art of the research carried out and the results obtained in the different discussion groups organised in all the countries with people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups were shared.
The Irish partner Volunteer Ireland is in charge of the coordination of the project.
It is important to highlight that the next steps of the project will be: the creation of a training manual on mentoring for volunteers with disabilities, as well as the creation of a platform to develop digital mentoring sessions.
Finally, the next training meeting of this European project will take place in October 2024 in the city of Galway in Ireland.
