The Provincial Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of Seville is working in collaboration with its project partners, Consorzio Cooperative Sociali from Italy and Action Synergy SA from Greece, as part of the European project called Safer Path. Together, they are progressing in the translation of the project’s toolkit, following the release of the official guide. The goal is to train home care professionals to foster the inclusion of people with disabilities and to develop tailored strategies that address their care needs and promote equal opportunities.
This process of adapting the project’s toolkit into our language serves as a prelude to the main publication of the guide in the languages of the European partners involved. One of the project’s main objectives is to help healthcare professionals develop new skills that promote improved wellbeing standards for people with disabilities, through comparison and exchange of practices on a European scale.
As context for this progress, we recall that in January 2025, our Provincial Federation hosted the transnational meeting in our city, during which the production of a toolkit was agreed upon. This kit aims to address the issue of burnout syndrome—a form of professional exhaustion—specifically focused on professionals who provide care and support to people with disabilities.
It is worth noting that the toolkit is already available on our website in English, and can be accessed and downloaded for free at the following link: https://cocemfesevilla.es/en/european-programs/safer-social-professionals-at-home-safer-path-2
COCEMFE Sevilla warmly invites all professionals and providers of home care services for people with disabilities to join this important initiative. The Spanish version of the toolkit will be published no later than next week and we encourage its widespread use and dissemination.
Additionally, those interested in becoming part of this exciting European project can get in touch via the following emails: ‘programas@cocemfesevilla.es and programas02@cocemfesevilla.es’.
Finally, you can stay up to date with all developments related to the project through the social media channels of our Provincial Federation or via the project’s Facebook page under the name Safer Path.
This project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
