EU-RUDISNET Project aimed to improve social inclusion of people with disabilities in rural areas, celebrates its 1st Transnational project coordination meeting

• COCEMFE Sevilla together with the entities OZARA d.o.o. from Slovenia, Consorzio SGS from Italy, LEB e. V. from Germany, BETI from Lithuania and Gelisim University in Istanbul, Turkey, met on January 11-12, 2021 to coordinate the EU-RUDISNET program.

• The objective of the initiative is the social inclusion of people with disabilities in rural areas of the EU

On January 11 and 12, 2021, the First Transnational project Coordination Meeting of the Network for the social inclusion of people with disabilities in rural areas of the European Union EU-RUDISNET program, took place.

Representatives of the entities: OZARA d.o.o. from Slovenia; Consortium SGS of Italy, LEB e. V. from Germany; BETI from Lithuania; Gelisim University in Istanbul, Turkey; and the Provincial Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of Seville (COCEMFE Seville) participated in the meeting. During it, the strategic lines and the first activities to be carried out within the initiative were agreed.

The main objective of EU-RUDISNET is the social inclusion of people with disabilities in rural areas of the European Union (EU), through training in mentoring and leadership skills.
With this program, and thanks to the co-financing of the Erasmus Plus program of the EU, COCEMFE Seville aims to provide people who live in rural areas with the appropriate skills to undertake socially and increase their participation in their community, with the aim of to defend their rights and access to services on equal terms with the rest of society.

The Provincial Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of Seville (FAMS-COCEMFE Seville) was born in 1985, due to the need of the associations to work with people with disabilities for administrations. It is a non-profit entity and declared of public utility, which has among its main purposes the promotion and defense of the rights of the group, the coordination of the 44 associations that comprise it, the promotion of actions aimed at normalizing socio-labour integration of people with disabilities.
