The Provincial Federation of Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities of Seville (COCEMFE Seville) organised on Monday, at its headquarters, the first Focus Group within the framework of the E-YOUTH project, co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and in which it participates as a partner together others from France, Denmark and Belgium, and coordinated by Support Girona. The aim of this meeting is to obtain first-hand information from professionals in the sector who work with young people in vulnerable situations.
The working meeting focused on explaining the final objective of the project, which is to improve the psycho-pedagogical skills of professionals working with this type of group, in order to provide them with more tools to help young people in the transition to inclusion.
For this purpose, the group of 10 participants (psychologists, social workers and social integrators) was divided in order to carry out a group discussion on the reality of young people, resources and services, and the training needs of professionals. This activity has allowed to extract the perception of the technical staff regarding the socio-cultural context where they develop their work activity, as well as the knowledge, emotional and cognitive skills they use for it.
