Be Happy in Life Project-First Transnational coordination meeting in Istanbul

The Provincial Federation of Associations of People with Physical Disabilities in Seville (FAMS-COCEMFE Sevilla) and 5 European organizations from Istanbul (Turkey), Sofia (Bulgaria), Maribor (Slovenia), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Lanciano (Italy), met on 8th, 9th and 10th January in Istanbul to launch Be Happy In Life project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

The general objective of the Be Happy in Life project is to determine the difficulties and needs faced by families that live and care for people with disabilities, contributing to the improvement of their knowledge and psychopedagogical skills of professionals working in the social field and the Health. Likewise, innovative programs and materials aimed at family caregivers will be developed.

In this first meeting, in addition to presenting the different partner organizations, the foundations were laid for the design of a previous qualitative research, as well as the methodology and contents of the curriculum based on coaching, which will design the program’s strategy.

During the meeting an official reception – dinner was organized where the Provincial Director General of Health of Istanbul, Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu, highlighted the importance of the project to contribute to the improvement of services for disabled people and thanked partners for their contribution.
The next transnational meeting will take place in Sofia in April 2019, coordinated by the Values, virtues, Integrity Foundation from Bulgaria.
